
Kamuela Gourmet Granola started on the small island of Lanai, Hawaii. Living there was wonderful, but we didn’t always have access to the foods we loved. One thing we missed most? Fresh, high-quality granola that actually tasted great.
So, I started making my own. At first, it was just for my husband—he loves snacking on granola straight from the bag. But as I played around with different flavors and shared them with friends, something special happened. Everyone kept asking for more.
Before I knew it, I had a collection of seasonal granolas, each one made with care and packed with flavor. Eventually, we moved to Kamuela (Waimea) on the Big Island, where our family grew—to include our daughter, a loving Border Collie, and, in many ways, Kamuela Gourmet.
From the beginning, my goal has been simple: make the most delicious granola possible, use real, high-quality ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible, and craft each batch with care, intention, and a deep love for good food. Kamuela Gourmet isn’t just about granola. It’s about bringing people together over something truly good.

Our Family's Favorite ways to enjoy kamuela gourmet granolas
Picture a bowl of Greek style yogurt, topped with Kamuela Gourmet granola. It’s a great way to start your day, a little something for the afternoon or just after a workout. For a fun change, try it with coconut, almond or soy versions of yogurt.

The chunkiness of our granola makes it the perfect snack, or the quintessential trail mix. Just imagine yourself hiking in the mountains, sitting at the beach watching the sunset or flying off to places unknown.
If you’re feeling creative, try adding our granola into your favorite cookie recipe to add a bit of crunch and excitement. It also makes a wonderful topping on your fruit crisp or crumble!

If you’d like to take a walk on the wild side, peaches or strawberries and cream with a sprinkling of granola would do the trick.
Oh, and don’t forget to experience the winning combination of granola on top of ice cream. There is nothing better. Well, maybe adding a little hot fudge chocolate, salty caramel, apple cider cinnamon or butterscotch sauce with a sprinkling of granola on top. Yum!
